Presently, working as Vice Chancellor, University of Baltistan, Skardu. Previously worked as Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences & Professor of Zoology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, from April 2015 to June 2018.

I started my career in 1986 as Assistant Director Fisheries, Government of Punjab after my Masters from the University of the Punjab, became Deputy Director Fisheries in 1989 and Director  Fisheries Department in 1996 after completion of my Ph.D. from the University of GuelphOntarioCanada.  After serving the Government of Punjab for 16 years, in 2003, I joined the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore as its founding Dean  & Professor, Faculty of Fisheries & Wildlife.  In my capacity as Chairman, I established two new, Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture and Department of Wildlife & Ecosystems at UVAS during 2003-2004.  Soon after my appointment as Professor of Zoology at the University of the Punjab, I served as the founding Director of External Linkages for one year and finally as Registrar (Principal Administrative Officer) of the university from March 2005 to September 2010.  Post-Doc from Vancouver Island, British Columbia (Canada), Post-Doc from University of Wales, Swansea (UK), Post-Doc from the University of Zagreb (Croatia), Post-Doc from University of Crete (Greece), Visiting Professor, University of South Bohemia Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic), Visiting Professor, HAKI, Szarvas (Hungary), Visiting Professor, Kastamonu University (Turkey), Visiting Professor, Liverpool (UK), Visiting Professor, YKSUG (Belarus),  I am recipient of twenty-seven (27Distinctions, Honors Academic Achievements, including five (5) Gold Medals/Awards, author of forty five (45) internationally published and forty six (46) nationally published research papers and have attended forty (40) international conferences, overseas.  I have supervised theses research of two (2) PhD and many graduate students.  I have been Member of various prestigious university bodies and statutory organs like university Senate, Syndicate, Selection Board, Academic Council, Finance & Planning Committee, Advanced Studies & Research Board, Affiliation Committee, Boards of Faculties, Board of Studies etc.  I have rare, unique and diversified international level thirty (31) years of academic, teaching, administrative, governmental, research and university level higher education administration and management experience to my credit.

I started my career in 1986 as Assistant Director Fisheries, Government of Punjab after my Masters from the University of the Punjab, became Deputy Director Fisheries in 1989 and Director  Fisheries Department in 1996 after completion of my Ph.D. from the University of GuelphOntarioCanada.  After serving the Government of Punjab for 16 years, in 2003, I joined the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore as its founding Dean  & Professor, Faculty of Fisheries & Wildlife.  In my capacity as Chairman, I established two new, Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture and Department of Wildlife & Ecosystems at UVAS during 2003-2004.  Soon after my appointment as Professor of Zoology at the University of the Punjab, I served as the founding Director of External Linkages for one year and finally as Registrar (Principal Administrative Officer) of the university from March 2005 to September 2010.  Post-Doc from Vancouver Island, British Columbia (Canada), Post-Doc from University of Wales, Swansea (UK), Post-Doc from the University of Zagreb (Croatia), Post-Doc from University of Crete (Greece), Visiting Professor, University of South Bohemia Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic), Visiting Professor, HAKI, Szarvas (Hungary), Visiting Professor, Kastamonu University (Turkey), Visiting Professor, Liverpool (UK), Visiting Professor, YKSUG (Belarus),  I am recipient of twenty-seven (27Distinctions, Honors Academic Achievements, including five (5) Gold Medals/Awards, author of forty five (45) internationally published and forty six (46) nationally published research papers and have attended forty (40) international conferences, overseas.  I have supervised theses research of two (2) PhD and many graduate students.  I have been Member of various prestigious university bodies and statutory organs like university Senate, Syndicate, Selection Board, Academic Council, Finance & Planning Committee, Advanced Studies & Research Board, Affiliation Committee, Boards of Faculties, Board of Studies etc.  I have rare, unique and diversified international level thirty (31) years of academic, teaching, administrative, governmental, research and university level higher education administration and management experience to my credit.
