INTRODUCTION
The Department of Chemistry endeavors to be a nationally recognized model for educating and graduating students prepared to compete in and contribute to the ever-changing. To achieve this vision, the department is committed to providing a course of study for undergraduates in the chemical sciences which combines curriculum, scholarship and service/engagement opportunities that are high-quality, innovative and intellectually challenging and employ state-of-the-art technologies.
Mission
To improve people’s life’s standards through the innovation and transforming power of chemical sciences into entrepreneurs conferring to society needs. To develop a strong understanding of chemistry through supreme quality teaching, laboratory activities, mini-research projects and advocacy under the patronage of highly qualified faculty to prepare individuals for revolution in the field of chemical sciences.
Objectives
The Department of Chemistry aims to accomplish these featured objectives through this program;

- To build an attitude to endeavor for higher education at the international level.

The objectives of the BS program in chemistry are framed in the light of program and university mission statements, which require promoting human development at all stages of life; through growth, evaluation, synthesis, dissemination and application of relevant knowledge, and provide a service that values sustainable, humanitarian, and economic development of the environment. This target can be achieved by attire young individuals with the skills to implement chemical sciences for the benefit of society through a well-defined panel of courses and training.

- In each semester, students may be required to appear in quizzes, mid terms, final examination, give presentation, participate in group discussion, and submit projects/assignments/lab reports. These (to be determined by the teacher concerned) will have different weightage contributing towards the overall assessment in percent marks. This weightage can be determined, based on the following guidelines:
