Dr. Mehdi Hassan is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry University of Baltistan, Skardu. He received his BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Organic Chemistry degrees from University of Karachi UoK (2007-2010), Pakistan. After MSc he joined as research fellow in International Center for Chemical and Biological Science (ICCBS/HEJ) University of Karachi (2010-2013). Dr. Mehdi Hassan completed his PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals, School of Chemical Engineering Dalian University of Technology, PR. China. During his stay at the Dalian University of Technology, he worked in close collaboration with Prof. Michael Watkinson at School of Chemical Sciences at Queen Mary University, London. Dr. Hassan has also developed several effective research collaborations in his research field i.e. Supramolecular smart responsive materials, Coordination chemistry, Catalysis, Nano materials and computational Chemistry groups in UK, China and several top National Institutions in Pakistan. His research has been published in well reputed and high impact International Journals e.g. European Journal of Chemistry, Catalysis Science & Technology, Royal Chemical Society Landon, Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry etc.
  • Development of Smart Responsive Fluorescent Materials, Coordination Compounds, Catalysis, Nano Materials with significant Applications
  • Computational Chemistry study of organic and metal organic molecule via Density Functional Theory DFT Calculation, Molecular Simulation and Docking (MSD).
