PEF Scholarship 2026
Professional Education Foundation (PEF) provides financial assistance to deserving and financially needy students pursuing higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Regularly enrolled at the University of Baltistan, Skardu
- Secured admission on open merit in the current academic program
- Demonstrate genuine financial need
- Intermediate score must NOT be below 65%
- Monthly family income must NOT exceed PKR 75,000/-
Scholarship Benefits
- Financial assistance for educational expenses
- Need-based support (Zakat) or Donation based on eligibility
- Support for Business Management students
- Support for Computer Sciences students

Need-Based Scholarships
Financial assistance for students facing economic hardships to continue their education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Family income below PKR 40,000/month
- At least 50% marks in last examination
- Orphan or special child (priority consideration)
- Single parent family (priority)

- Partial to full tuition fee waiver (based on need assessment)
- Flexible fee installment plans
- Book bank facility
- Transportation allowance
Application Process
Kinship Scholarships
Special scholarships for children of university employees, armed forces personnel, and government servants.
Eligibility Criteria
- Child/spouse of UoBS regular employee (serving/retired/deceased)
- Child of Armed Forces personnel (with nomination)
- Child of Government Teachers (with NOC)
- Minimum 60% marks in last examination
Scholarship Benefits
- 25% tuition fee waiver for children of UoBS employees
- 50% tuition fee waiver for children of martyred employees
- 20% tuition fee waiver for armed forces/teachers' children
- Priority in hostel accommodation

- • Only applications received through University will be considered
- • Amount approved will be transferred directly to the University on behalf of student's educational expenses

What is the deadline for PEF Scholarship 2026?
The deadline for PEF Scholarship 2026 submission is April 17, 2026. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered.
What are the eligibility requirements for PEF Scholarship?

Most scholarships require annual renewal based on academic performance. Some automatically renew if you maintain the required CGPA, while others require fresh applications.
Are part-time students eligible for scholarships?
Most scholarships are for full-time regular students only. Some need-based scholarships may consider part-time students on a case-by-case basis.
How are PEF scholarship recipients selected?
Selection is based on merit (academic performance with minimum 65% in intermediate), financial need assessment (monthly income below PKR 75,000), and submission of complete and verifiable documents.
What is the difference between Need-Based Support and Donation?
Need-Based Financial Support is Zakat-based, requiring a Zakat affidavit. Donation is non-Zakat support. Both are subject to fund availability. Choose wisely as documents will be reviewed and final decision taken by concerned authority.
