Powers and Duties of the Syndicate

The Syndicate is the executive body of the University and shall exercise general supervision over the affairs and management of the University in accordance with the UoBS Order, 2016.

Executive body responsible for implementing policies and decisions

Supervise academic, administrative, and financial matters

Manage University property, funds, and investments

Approve annual budget and financial statements

Manage University infrastructure and facilities

Appoint administrative staff and officers (excluding academic appointments)

Enter into contracts on behalf of the University

Ensure compliance with statutes and regulations

Monitor implementation of Senate decisions

Oversee planning and development activities

Ensure proper maintenance of University assets

Execute academic and administrative policies
