The Faculty of Education, Humanities, and Social Sciences (FoEHSS) at the University of Baltistan, Skardu (UoBS) lays the foundation stone for preservation and promotion of intellectual, cultural, and social development in Gilgit-Baltistan. This Faculty i. e. FoEHSS has enthusiastically been established to advancing knowledge that fortifies education systems, encourages indigenous intellect, conserves cultural heritage, and respond enduring social and economic challenges of the countrymen and the Republic. The FoEHSS offers transdisciplinary academic programmes that blend education, languages, culture, economics, and social inquiry, cultivating critical thinking, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility. The FoEHSS prepares educators, researchers, policy practitioners, and community leaders capable of addressing to local realities while engaging with national and global discourses. Diversity and inclusion are at our core, fostering a vibrant environment where creativity and collaboration thrive. The FoEHSS makes a concerted labour enriching the educational experience of students for their success in academic life at UoBS and professional life beyond UoBS. Rooted in the unique historical, linguistic, and cultural landscape of the Karakoram–Himalayan region, the FoEHSS places strong emphasis on indigenous knowledge systems, cultural heritage, and social cohesion while promotes modern pedagogical approaches, evidence-informed research, and policy-relevant scholarship aligned with national development priorities and global frameworks such as sustainable development and global citizenship. We believe in refining intellect, preserving heritage, and forming future with the forte of inclusivity in all its manifestations.
