The department of Mathematics is one of the dire needs of the students, parents and stakeholders in Gilgit Baltistan especially in Baltistan region as there is no graduate program being offered anywhere in Baltistan. So, hundreds of students, parents and stakeholders go through severe crisis due to unavailability of the most important subject mathematics as majority of the parents cannot afford huge amount of fees and other expenses of their sons or wards if they go to the down areas for higher studies. In this way, most of the students either quit their studies or join other domains of studies without considering their major subjects studied in graduation. Recently, it has been observed that every private and public-sector school and college went through severe crisis when they received no eligible applicant for vacant positions of mathematics to be taught at their respective institutions.
